I like this cream but I don’t expect results to be so obvious. Maybe if I took a pic of my face every week? However I do feel I am doing something to look after my skin. There is minimal to zero scent which is good and it’s absorbed quickly. One thing that really made me think though was that when I thought the bottle was “empty” I nearly threw it away. However I unscrewed the pump top and I saw it had so much left but the pump wasn’t picking it up as the cream wasn’t settling around the plastic straw thing, it was gathered around it and on the side. It has now lasted me another 3 weeks of daily use as I use the straw of the pump to scoop more out. A serious design flaw.

Worked well for me! Good consistency and lightweight, will buy it again

Feels good and skin feels better – best to let dry then and moisturise after to stop skin drying out

I really liked this serum and will purchase again. Here’s why…:
– the packaging is high end, robust and luxurious, with enough information on it. A small point but important, and a sign that a lot of consideration has gone into the whole product.
– the formula is light and easily-absorbed. It sat well with other serums (I use a couple) and didn’t pill up with moisturiser layered over it. My skin liked it and there was no irritation or sensitivity. Finding a tolerable vitamin C product is important; and this formulation was soothing and effective. I use it with a prescription retinoid so this was a crucial point for me and allowed me to use it over time.
– the serum is effective in its aims of hydrating and soothing, and delivering vitamin C, and this is reflected in the ingredients. It contains a good amount of jojoba, glycerin and aloe. These are hydrating and calming. It’s not oily or greasy at all, and like a good serum it is is very lightweight and watery, and spreads easily. The hyaluronic acid also aids moisture retention and prevents the skin losing water. Don’t be fooled by the ingredients list – Cassia Angustifolia is the Latin name for Indian Senna, which contains naturally-arising polysaccharides which are easier for the skin to absorb and use than manmade equivalents.
– vitamin C is a special ingredient known to reduce hyperpigmentation (brown spots and sun damage) and also to be brightening and to improve glow. The gentle form of vitamin C in this serum is effective and after a few weeks use, I am happy to note that two small areas of pigmentation (two smallish sunspots on my cheek, which looked like freckles but popped up from nowhere after a bit too much sun last summer) have vanished entirely. Although I know that vitamin C can do this, I wasn’t expecting it to be so rapid or effective. I haven’t changed much else about my skincare at the moment so I am attributing it to the serum.
Overall, there is really nothing I didn’t like about this. I liked the branding and packaging, the consistency and feel, and most crucially the clear beneficial results on my skin.
The fact that it’s a new and innovative small family-run company focussed on simplicity whilst ensuring men still have access to great products is important to me. It’s ethically run and cruelty free (and if it matters to you, this product is vegan). It is also a complete bargain compared to similar products (and I’ve tried a lot), and you get more than a standard serum.
Not completely related to the product itself, but refreshing nonetheless, is the fact that the company has a focus on men’s mental health, and it actively works alongside a charity to improve the dialogue in communities around this. Given the stressful times we are in, and the continued tragedy of male suicide and suffering, helping raise awareness of the need to maintain our own wellbeing and the mental health of others, perhaps is the best thing about Mend.

Very nice presentation and the cream seems nice. Can’t say whether or not it works yet as obviously it’s a long term thing, but if it moisturises and contains retinol it should be fine. But, the pump is poor and doesn’t dispense well, which is annoying.

The pump on mine was broken so I end up just spinning off the lid and scooping it out with my hands. Moisturizer seems fine though. I didn’t contact the seller to complain so i can’t comment on their support.

Been using the product for a while now. It is easily absorbed and light. But haven’t really noticed any difference using it. Lasts a very long time so value for money. Well not be purchasing again. But worth a try and it will last for a while.

Really like the cream which I brought as I suffer from thin skin on my forearms. Did a fair bit of shopping around before I settled on this one and was initially happy with the choice. However on day two the pump action on the bottle stopped working and no amount of cleaning etc has made any difference. A real shame, but the supplier was extremely helpful.
I’ve now been using the cream regular on my arms and its made a big difference. The skin on my arms has improved and I’ll be a regular customer from now on.
