I am in love with this toner. It’s super hydrating andmy skin feels smoother and looks brighter.
It’s a lot thicker than your usual toner so I forgo the pads and just splash a bit in my hands and apply straight to the face 🙂

HaruHaru (which means day by day if anyone is interested) is a Korean brand who created a little social media storm when Korean skincare products became fashionable a while ago.
So what are the key ingredients and what do they do?
1) Black rice, which contains vitamin E, an antioxidant. Black rice doesn’t go through any refining process so it retains all of its antioxidants.
2) Hydrochloric acid which draws and holds water. When used in skincare, it draws moisture to the surface of your skin.
So this is a product which claims to be anti aging and hydrating- Sign me up, I decided. The following review is based on two months use, daily, both morning and night.
Note- my skin is not sensitive at all. I usually have combination skin,oily in the t-zone with dry, rough patches. I also suffer with redness and rosecea (which has been practically cured by The Ordinary niacinamide serum) my skin is also prone to looking very dull.
Anyway, on to the actual review…
Packaging- 4/5
I do slightly prefer a glass bottle, but that’s just because I’m a snob with skincare and I like everything to look and feel luxurious. But the packaging is minimalist and attractive.
Application 4/5
I always pat toner on to my skin with my fingertips rather than use cotton pads, as you use much less product without the cotton pad soaking it in. I’d say it’s almost essential to ditch the cotton pad with a toner this thick.
This toner does feel sticky and tacky on the skin. It’s very thick for a toner. It has the consistency of a serum rather than the usual thin toner, but I quite like that.
It absorbs nicely and very quickly. A little goes a long way and after two months of using twice a day, I still have more than half a bottle left.
Results- 5/5
This toner promised hydration and it definitely delivers. It leaves skin feeling plump and shiny. The overall effect is a glass/dewy skin effect which is notable even under make up. After a couple of months of use, my skin has a definite glow.
All in all, I particularly like the thickness of this toner and the sheeny glow it gives skin. I’m not a huge fan of how sticky it is, but that isn’t a problem once you’ve got your other skincare products on. If you’re looking for moisture and a dewy glow, this stuff is definitely for you. Definitely up in my all time favourite toners.
Will I buy this toner again? Yes.
Would I recommend it? Yes.

I only realised that this product contains Lavender oil after using the product. I am allergic to Lavender oil. I now have an open bottle which I cannot use or return.
