I’ve had another ghd straightener (wider and flatter) for more than 5 years now and it continues to effortlessly straighten my hair to a very sleek and soft finish. I decided to upgrade to a smaller straightener to give me more styling options, i.e., curls, or a softer and more natural straightened look and this version has definitely met the mark!
It’s easy to control and use, light to hold and can be flexibly manoeuvred around the head without your arm hurting. Also, unlike with other branded straighteners, your hair doesn’t feel crispy as if it’s been ‘fried’ from the heat, this straightener leaves your hair feeling tangle free and light.

Great product my second pair, tried others but not as good. Only thing is be careful with hair round your face as it likes to fry it.

My last GHDS lasted years and I’m hoping these do too. They heat up very quickly and are easy to use

Not as good quality as the Platinum straighteners, these Gold ones feel a bit lighter and more plastic-ey, but still do a fantastic job, and had I not had Platinum ones previously I would be fully content – these Gold are cheaper for this reason but the outcome on the hair is the same.

My wife has had some GHDs for years and the wire was coming loose so i got her some ghd Gold Styler which she loves as they have a rounded barrel for curls and comes with a case, very easy to use and stylish.

I was recommended this product by GHD as a replacement for a discontinued model I had been happy with but which had broken. These, despite costing twice as much, are nowhere near as good as the others.
The downsides are:
1. Very slippery so much so that on first use they slid out of my hand and I burned myself
2. I can’t get used to the fact that you have to switch them on and always run them through my hair cold before realising.
3. Just generally difficult to hold and operate and the end effect is not as good as the older model.
The plus side is:
1. They look good
2. They come with a very useful heatproof bag
3. They come with a rubber end bit so you can put them away while still warm
