Not sure how the product can be called firm hold. Doesn’t hold hair at all.

A nice straight-forward gel that is easy to work into the hair and then style with fingers or comb. It is low-shine and lasts several hours. No obvious smell.

Packaged in a robust but flexible tube, allowing you to squeeze the last remaining contents out when the time comes, this Firm Hold gel does all it is required to do for my curly hair, needing only a small amount compared to my regular brand. Probably just as well given the higher than normal price point. With a more subtle smell, giving off less of the usual alcohol type aroma, this lighter, slightly greasier ( on my hands, not my hair ) feeling gel is a decent product if you are feeling flush on pay day or maybe as part of a Christmas hair care bundle, but for every day use it might be a bit O.T.T price wise .. but definitely worth a trial if you get the chance.

This gel is clear and thick in texture. A little goes a long way. I apply to damp hair and style as usual. It doesn’t leave my hair sticky or cause flakes. It brushes out easily too.

First of all, you get a lot of gel for your money! 250ml is about double what I would expect in most gel tubes I would buy in the supermarket or at the chemist’s.
The gel itself is, as you might expect, clear with a very subtle scent. It is very sticky on the fingers, but works through wet and dry hair very easily. I have quite short hair at present, and my hair is quite fine and tends to collapse if I use heavier products. This gel gave me lots of options: I could give myself a very sharp, neat, clean parting, if you want a very severe parting and hair that will stay in place.
I also used it on my hair when wet and used a hairdryer to give a softer finish with more movement. It’s particularly good for messy, rough, textured hair looks, giving definition and stability without the hair looking like it’s set with glue! It doesn’t offer the most extreme hold, so don’t expect hair that would survive a gale… but it does give a high level of hold, and does so without clumping the hair together or drying it out.
The gel also gives the hair a subtle sheen; if you want a higher gloss, I would recommend some hair oil prior to using this gel.

I like this because it works well with thick hair. It is almost odourless — the smell is very faint — you’ll only notice it if you squeeze a massive amount out of the tube. And even then the scent fades. The gel is thick and provides really good hold. The hold lasts all day for me. There is no flaking.
