I’m really happy about this purchase. The curling iron heats up quickly, allows temperature adjustment and is light weight. It’s good to hold and the plastic tip prevents burns when holding the strands of hair in place. Would definitively recommend.

Wanted a budget hair wand as not sure whether could use one successfully. This one works very well. Like the heat control for hair types & the timer you can set to be sure it turns off if forgotten. Just the right size and width for my shoulder length hair and easy to use. Gives good results of soft waves or curls.

These curling irons are a new addition to the Amazon Basics brand. As with other products in this ever expanding collection of items build quality is good. The irons come with a a moulded UK plug with a replaceable fuse and a cable that’s around two-metres long. The irons are controlled by four discrete buttons on the handle – a power button, a button to increase the the temperature, a button to reduce the temperature and a timer button. There’s also a small but clear display with white text against a black background which displays the temperature set, the actual iron temperature or the current timer setting. The power button can also be held for a couple of seconds when powered to lock all of the buttons so you don’t accidentally change the temperature or timer whilst using the irons.
The iron temperature can be set from 80 degrees to 220 degrees in 5 degree increments. The instructions give guidance on suitable temperature levels. The timer, which is essentially a safety measure, can be set between 0 to 60 minutes or, exceptionally, to 90 minutes. Once the time is reached the irons turn off.
I’m not expert on curling irons! However, these seem to be well made. Critically at time of review the price of this new product is not available. I expect the irons to be good value for money however. Assuming that’s the case, this is a four star product.
